Research activity

My research activity is the theoretical study of the equilibrium and dynamical properties of quantum gases. I am interested in studying the accessible observables in the actual experiments on ultracold atoms, that yield information about the coherence and the many-body correlations in the systems. These observables include both equilibrium quantities (such as density profiles, momentum distribution, density-density correlations) and dynamical quantities (such as single-particle excitation spectrum, collective excitations, time-dependent density profiles, time-dependent momentum-distributions). In particular I’m expert in exact solutions for strongly-correlated bosons and/or fermions trapped in one-dimensional confinements.

Teaching activity

My teaching mission is the training in physics of students integrating Polytech Nice at post-baccalaureate level. It is essentially the teaching of basic courses like Optics and Mechanics.
